The problem

Genuinely sharp finance people spend their month buried in Excel. A tab for every period, carried forward by hand, reformatted, re-checked, rebuilt — before anyone can even start writing up what the numbers actually mean. What we built instead

getnarrateai connects to QuickBooks or Xero (or takes a CSV upload), you pick a comparison — prior period, prior year, or budget — and in about 30 seconds it generates a complete narrative: an executive summary, line-by-line variance explanations, and strategic commentary. Export straight to Word or PDF. No tabs to carry forward, no rebuilding the same dashboard by hand for every business unit.

Your data

getnarrateai is read-only — connecting QuickBooks or Xero never writes back to your books, it only reads the numbers needed to generate your report. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your financial data to train AI models. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Who's behind this

getnarrateai is independently operated by OLOSD LLC. It was built after years of watching capable finance people rebuild the same P&L dashboard by hand, tab by tab, region by region — not because they didn't understand the numbers, but because there weren't enough hours in the month to keep rebuilding the same workbook. This is the tool I wished they'd had.
